I have a HND in Graphic Design and a BA degree from Norwich. I studied a Masters in Illustration at Camberwell, London. I have experience of working with primary school children as a classroom arts and crafts assistant. I get joy from watching these little people developing their skill set through craft activities. I often create innovative ideas to allow the children to express themselves through art and craft. I also have a Red Bubble and Etsy shop under the name FoxyTrader

Animal headbands - colour, cute and staple and wear!

This is a great activity for busy little hands! Once you have photocopied these designs onto A4 card in B&W the kids can choose the animal that they prefer. Colouring in skills can be developed and scissor skills as they cut round their animal. Using two A3 strips of card (Approx 1inch wide) let the kids try and staple their animal head to one end of the strip, then the end of the other strip. Then the strips can be measured round the childs head by the adult to secure it in place. These animal headbands were used in a Christmas nativity whole schole assemble at our school, however, they are quite versitile and could be incorporated into several different topics e.g. Noah's Ark, role playing etc.

Two up on an A4 sheet of paper this design is ready to be printed in black and white. The children will love finding all the eggs hiding on the page as they colour in the Easter picture. This could be used as the front of an Easter card or just as a colouring activity.
